This song is one of 3 on this album that was conceived by the "Magic Triangle" of song-writing. That's where Stevie starts messing around with chord progressions (and Jenny records them.....because, otherwise, he'll forget his own awesome...), Jenny starts humming a melody, and, invariably, Louie (the BF) will be listening while we think he's doing something else...when he's actually writing lyrics....all sneaky-like. Then Jenny weaves it all together to make it purty. Collaboration is the bestest. When we were at the final mixing stage of recording this album, our producer (Andrew Lipke) said to us, "You know you sing 'searching' like.....37 times in this song....." To which we replied, "Yesss.... (?)" And then he said, "You still want to call it 'Pictures'?" Us: "Yessss...(?)". Lol.
