I sat to write a letter, and tell you how it’s been

So when you read this letter, maybe we find a way
To try and understand, the life we lost today
So I sat to write this letter, broke my pencil twice
Words are hard to find, this place is no longer kind
I want to see your face again
Want to hear your voice my friend
And all the things you shared with me
Like climbing trees and liberty
Wishing for a time with all of these
I hope you get this letter, And see that I still care
