Lyrics
I sat to write a letter, and tell you how it’s been
Every day’s a challenge, How I miss my friend
You’ve been gone forever
I know that isn’t true
Still it’s been so long, working hard to make it through
Wishing for a time again with you
I hope you get this letter, And see that I still care
There’s such a void remaining, I can’t give in to despair
So when you read this letter, maybe we find a way
To try and understand, the life we lost today
So I sat to write this letter, broke my pencil twice
Words are hard to find, this place is no longer kind
I want to see your face again
Want to hear your voice my friend
And all the things you shared with me
Like climbing trees and liberty
Wishing for a time with all of these
I hope you get this letter, And see that I still care
There’s such a void remaining, I can’t give in to despair
So when you read this letter, maybe we find a way
To try and understand, the life we lost today
Sharing pointless points of view
Philosophy without a clue
Somehow we muddled through
I hope you get this letter,
And see that I still care
Won’t give into despair!
Sat to write this letter
And tell you how it’s been
