the honest mans got nothing to hide
got no problems getting out what's inside
reputations never on the line, til the day he dies,
you can search for something but there's nothing that he doesn't want you to find

out,
about him
no layers of sin,
no lies upon lies,
no losing or winning,
it's life, it's all in your mind, and that's why, i choose to live
transparent

now when you do something that makes you feel shame,
you can either own it, or wallow in the pain,
admit it to others, or keep it buried deep,
inside, and try to justify to yourself,
why did i do that? now i gotta keep everybody

out,
for safety,
can't let anybody in
all the lies upon lies,
and layers of sin,
they work to keep you from achieving inner peace,
I suggest you try transparency

if you ever wanna breathe easy,
js take it from me,
people aren't stupid
they can always plainly see,
the look on your face,
it's always easy to read,
cause if you pay attention
the truth always slips out,
eventually,
you can't judge a book by its cover
but you can trust reality,
things can definitely be, exactly as they seem,
if you do bad things, you'll be regarded negatively
but what if we all live life open & free, embrace transparency?
