Re2rocovered by Inverse Phase

Hold onto your descriptions, folks, we're about to get meta....

Retrocovered represents my first five years as a chiptune artist. While working on my first album, I did some demakes or "retrocovers" of songs that were very near and dear to me. One year after The Midnight Chiptunes, I saw I had ten pop songs and three more game tracks, and decided to celebrate!

Five years later, I'm celebrating again. I've made a freshly re-recorded version of Retrocovered with fixes for a few small bugs and newb mistakes. Despite that I might be one of the few people that notice those changes, these tracks mean a lot to me, so I want the album to shine. To signify a "version 2" I've called this album "Re2rocovered".

You may also notice the excellent new album artwork by Len Stuart. I often notice how similar the neon colors in retrowave art are to the CGA palette. Thinking a new front cover might be good for this re-release, I went to Len with all of this and he turned my ideas into reality. So, how is all of this meta? To quote my follower @moecule on twitter: It's a cover of the cover that covers the cover album covering covers and some covers of covers.
