the introduction was made by using a serialist method for the pitches of each of the 3 individual lines, the same goes for the interlude, but in this case the percussion that is introduced also follows a serialist procedure that refers to the duration of each note and to the instrument that plays it, 2 lines were made that way and superimposed.
there’s microtonal tuning between the different elements (but not within them).
the development is informed by minimalist and phase music.
it follows an intentionally lo-fi aesthetic with a limited set of timbres, and the beat is in 27/8.
it was also a way to try and bridge experimentation and accesibility, as well as trying to compose in a subtle, simple, clear way.
