Henry Lowman:
The concert ukulele played on this recording was made by master luthier John Wilson. He loaned it to me to try out, review and do something with it. I planned to do a recording with it and immediately thought of Ingrid and her gongs, the possibility of taking this instrument into uncharted territory and letting Ingrid apply her magic seasoning to it. Designed with a built in piezo pickup, I plugged the ukulele into my Electro Harmonix SUPER EGO synth engine and let the musical result guide me. It always pays to leave the door to possibility open, otherwise one never will know what is being offered. Ingrid’s voicings and dynamics on her instruments conjur angelic overtones and deeply resonant frequencies, at times with orchestral qualities.

No limits, only possibilities.
