This is the 11th hip-hop project from ILL Gordon’s catalog. This album has a soulful, boom-bap, feel. The tone of the project ranges from aggressive high tempo songs such as “Ok” and “The Wake Up” to more laid back, soulful songs such as “Fly Shit” and “New Lense”. The overall feel of the project is cool, mellow hip-hop with clever wordplay that provides a motivational perspective. It is a very easy listen that can played in any environment as background music and the featured sound. The project is exclusively produced by Reg Vader. This is the second project that Vader and Gordo have collaborated on with “Barzondeck” being the first. They have developed a chemistry that is reminiscent of Dj Premier and Guru or Buckshot and 9th Wonder.
