Things Change by Illastrate

"Things Change" is a collection of beats I put together over the last month or so. While working on the project I learned that my Grandmother wasn't doing well in the hospital and the family, while praying and hoping for a recovery, was also preparing for the worst. She passed away on April 4th. I went home to Fort Wayne Indiana that weekend to pay my respect to our great matriarch, and mourn with family. I was reminiscing with a cousin who I hadn't seen in years and playing him the project. He is one of my main inspirations in music, so it was important for me to get feedback from him. The project was the backdrop of our conversation and we spoke on how different things will be without my grandmother. After a long pause the only thing I could say was "man...things change.", and that felt fitting for the projects title. The cover art is a photo of the home I grew up in, taken by long time friend and artist Michael Johnson aka Pup Luv. I've had the pictures for years and it all came together for this project. This is definitely the quickest project I've produced, but it just felt right to release it. Thank you to everyone that has supported me in the past.
