Rather than take a direct 'narrative' approach, I viewed each track as being like a separate character in a story that the listener can weave for themselves. In some of the best fiction, locations and setting can act almost like additional characters, so these are also represented by The City, and The Night. Finally, no story can unfold without the passage of time and memories of what has come to pass.

ikjoyce makes electronic ambient and drone music using modular synthesis to explore themes of nature, space, isolation, man/machine interaction, and the borders of the sleep/wake cycle.
