In June 2022 I left Cardiff for Glasgow. I always wanted to live in Glasgow, images of the Easterhouse and sunspecs and all that. I moved onto a road called Marywood Square in a flat with Otis and started what I thought of as glasgow songwriting, windows with figures and story, About not roundabout. I wrote about the park at the end of the road, half real estate agents, friends and strangers and Natalia Seagull, who was somewhere in between back then. It wasn’t my most prolific recording period, it always takes me a few minutes when I move somewhere new, but my new environment really changed the way I wrote music, something about the trees or the spires. These are the songs I did record before L&L Ltd removed us from the premises and moved me and natalia along. I only lived on Marywood for a few short months but it was a very important place to me. I hope you enjoy these songs as a picture of that. Love Ike xxxxx
