Solemn Verses by Fall of the Idols

"Solemn Verses shall strip false hope and alienate You from yourselves”" is how Fall of the Idols describe their 3rd plague upon the world. Dark and depressive are some of the most overused adjectives in doom metal, yet there are no better words to describe the new Fall of the Idols full-length. For over a decade, the band has practiced traditional and majestic yet unconventional doom and Solemn Verses is no exception; maybe more than ever the cold, Northern despondency is present throughout the recording. The future is looking bleak indeed!
