Halaka Woods by i am the mackerel

Somehow it ended up on a map, the way the map ended up on the desk, the way the desk ended up in the house, the way the pens ended up in the drawer, the way the house ended up in the pen, the way the pen ended up on the ledge, the way the ledge ended up by the window, the way the window ended up open, the way the open window opened the story, the way the story ended up on the tape, the way the tape ended up at the thrift shop, the way the thrift shop closed after so many years, the way the years keep closing everything else, the way everything else ended up birds, the way the birds made songs in the trees, the way the trees differentiated themselves from the leaves, the way the leaves disappeared after fall, the way the fall came again, and again, and again, and again, the way again and again we looked at that map, the way we kept looking at that map, the way we couldn't stop looking at that map, wondering how they ended up there, halaka woods, and wondering what this all really meant when clearly something had other plans.
