When UK producer Tesfa Williams and South African singer-songwriter Sio were first introduced, the symbiotic nature of their relationship was evident from the start. Born out of meaningful conversations across just four days in the studio in London, they laid the foundations to create records rich in personal connection and creative trust. Following the release of ‘Peace’ on The Remedy Project, they now reveal the first single ‘Fortnite’ from their forthcoming album project on STY TRU BTS. Explaining the thoughts behind her trademark poeticism on ‘Fortnite’ Sio explains, “I took back my power from my elders and society by defining my own path and identity as a woman of colour in the world so the “game” would favour me.” Paired with Tesfa’s thoughtful production, ‘Fortnite’ makes for a spellbinding preview of what is to come from these two influential artists.
