Painkillers by SERENA
Painkillers is an electro dark/pop ballad which tackles the issues of dealing with long distance relationships. Feeling helpless and therefore guilty for being away from her best friend in a moment of need, she decided to write a song about it. Drowning in ‘others expectations’ (as the Italian songwriter warns in the chorus) she started to forget her own happiness. The pressure strained her body to its limit, causing ache and pain. Painkillers is not a song about the light at the end of the tunnel but an helpful guide in that direction.
