Tundrak from Ritual by Hysteria Temple Foundation

“Tundrak” treats us to an even darker, desert folk music-informed voyage into opaque melodic grounds. Relying on a palette similar to that of dub techno all the while implementing and polishing a distinctive sonic approach, it convulsively threads its way past known beacons and genre-bound limitations to establish its own line of action, half-way surgical BMB oomph, rage-filled drone and Berber traditions.

A two-headed affair, the faceless Hysteria Temple Foundation is a project cloaked in secret and
mystique. Roaming at the convergence point of incantatory tribal hoodoo, hi-voltage techno
uproar and no-frills, hazy Deep bass, the pair works its way in the gap between straight out floor
hypnotism and drum-driven escapology.
