Y Gwydd by Huw Marc Bennett

For the first single from his new album, Bennett takes direct inspiration from the music of Wales, and offers his version of the popular folk tune: ‘Y Gwydd’ (The Loom), first collected by Maria Jane Williams.

With a mature earthy sound pallet, he respectfully captures the delicate emotive tones of the tune, whilst paying homage to a valuable bit of melancholic musical heritage.
