Frenzied heartbeats thunder beneath ancient stone as first fires catch and sputtering torches illuminate young faces. We captured this ritual during a genuine summer thunderstorm – water seeping through cave walls, drumheads swelling with moisture, creating that distinctive damp resonance that carries throughout. The rainfall you hear isn't added later; it's nature participating in our ceremony.

The track builds like childhood itself – beginning with tentative jaw harp whispers that gradually find confidence in the tribal pulse. By the third minute, what started as hesitant finger-taps erupts into the full communal chant that marks acceptance into the circle.

When recording, we positioned ourselves in concentric rings within the cave, eldest members closest to the fire-pit, youngest at the outer edges. This arrangement creates the swirling spatial dynamics – voices seem to spiral around listeners as if they're standing at the center of our stone ring.

The tin-trumpet call midway through wasn't planned. Hrugar wandered deeper into the cave system while we tracked and discovered a chamber with perfect natural reverb. What you hear is his spontaneous response to finding that sacred acoustic space.

Like all children before their first hunt, this music trembles between innocence and raw curiosity – the knowing and not-knowing that defines our earliest memories of belonging. Before blood-rites and warrior-making comes this: the simple claiming of kin, the first recognition that your bones echo those who came before.
