Bathophobia is a fear of depth. An overwhelming fear, embracing from the realization that there is no bottom under you. A huge and terrible abyss of black waters draws the soul out of the body. I will never forget that freezing fear and adrenaline in my blood, that irresistible aggravation of the survival instinct and my hoarse voice from sharp sighs, that sound under water and those seconds that seemed forever.
