Ride from RIDE by Hot Garbage
Title track, “Ride”, might be the closer on Hot Garbage’s first full-length, but it is moreso an invitation to begin a journey that features cryptic synthesizers, buzzing guitars and assertive snare cadences. Much like the highway it speaks of, the song is open-ended, and its slow groove can feel dichotomous, somewhat denoting doubt, but eventually, we all have to ride, even if we don’t know what is down that road.
