Lyrics
I invite you to close your eyes and rest in this opening prayer
Welcome to Paradise, I will be your guide.
Rest easy and breathe in this new air,
Release where you have been.
What has gripped you, has released you, you are here now.
……
You, blessed inhabitant of this green world, a prayer of deep gratitude for your devotion to this practice of tender stewardship for your heart, vibrant nature, dense forest
Breathe in for 1 2 3 4 hold 2 3 4 5 6 release for 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
Turn your attention toward your soft animal body.
Allow your breath to sway in natural fluctuating tempos that ripple through your body in uneven patterns
Receptivity is magnetic. your tool for illumination
Breathe in for 1 2 3 4 hold 2 3 4 5 6 release for 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
A stream of light has found you at golden hour. Receive its glow, its warmth pouring through the top of your head, warming your face, the lids of your eyes, your cheekbones, your neck, the tops of your shoulders, your chest.
Breathe in for 1 2 3 4 hold 2 3 4 5 6 release for 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
The forest floor where we sit is haloed by a vertical cliff of dark mountain rock, a cathedral of stone supporting a vibrant ecosystem of plant life and aviary luminaries
From the barely visible top of the cathedral, a lush waterfall pours, over the steep black canyon, over the ferns growing in the rock wall, over the cavernous hollow where birds take refuge, through the top of your head, rinsing out your thoughts, your tensions, releasing your stuck memories,,,
your skull, an empty vessel for light and life here and now
Breathe in…. Breathe out….
An abundant waterfall now flowing down your neck, through your shoulders, down the top of your chest, flushing(hallowing) out your chest cavity..
A rush of velvet water surrounds your heart, refreshing these gentle cells, washing away any sediment, all locks and holding patterns, now loosened and released
Water cascading down your arms, pooling in your hands, rolling through your fingertips, releasing from your body and into the molten core of deep earth
deep earth’s body receives everything you have released, everything you are releasing, everything you wish to release still. incineraterating all excess on contact.
Everything you give her, tell her, she receives with open arms, open heart.
Continuous water rushes from the top of your head through your body, pooling in your pelvic girdle, cascading down your legs, thighs, knees, ankles, feet, streaming though your toes into the earth
Release your shoulders, release your breath. You are nature.
Offer your attention to the sounds around you.
what birds fly in front of you?
Observe their , motion, choreography
How do they move?
……….
How is your skin responding?
………..
Feel your breath widening the circle of awareness around you
…..
it is much louder than you previously realized
This verdant tapestry is bursting with life
Lush overtones in this natural field of sound
….
(What does your body notice?)
low rumbles of water in motion
….
(Where do they resonate in your body?)
The rustling of leaves on the Forest floor and in the surrounding canopy
….
(How does your body respond?)
….
enter into the consciousness of a flower
Experience their perspective, become their form.
Are you ……unraveling?
….l.l…..
,,,,,,,
……..
How do you respond to the sun?
……….
,,,,,,,
…….
How do you respond to the rain?
Reach for the sun, Icarus ascending
Enveloped by its warmth, allow it to soak in to your chest, your face, your mind
…. Long pause…..
the sun now setting,
Begin your descent to the forest floor
at your own pace
As you descend, find places of rest
Find comfort in the canopy
How does your skin respond to the changes in atmosphere on our way back through
dense forest, More humid
more movement, CACOPHONOUS fast twitch ……..
encountering the songs of other birds
A bustling golden hour
Rich with the calls and chatter of flora and fauna
call out to one another,
proclaim
“I'm still here”
…..
Find your way slowly back safe cave behind the waterfall
In your soft landing, nestle into your place of rest
How has the water changed? Pitch? Velocity?
……
Have the colors changed?
……..
………
…….
….
How has the way you listen changed?
…….
……
……
……
Your renewal flows top of your head flow through your body and disappear into the bottom of the earth
….
Release your shoulders, release your breath
…..
Sit with your reflection…
….
…..
….
…..
…..
What does your body notice?
….
….
…
…….
