Affirmations by Hoopy Frood
It’s been over ten years since our last album “Indigo”. The band has evolved in that time with new members and years of playing live together. Musically, “Affirmations” is intended to capture that full band sound that we have been working on over the years, incorporating live drums this time and built around ideas and jam sessions that we kept coming back to.
Lyrical ideas were spontaneous; we had no intention of delivering a theme or a story but now we have completed the project it appears that we have some positive messages to share, hence the album title.
As is our way, “Affirmations” is a blend of live instruments/vocal with synths, sequencers and samples. We leave it to you to decide on its genre!
