I'm always in my head.
I'm never where I stand.
The older that I get, the more I leave unsaid.
I fear this apathy is crippling me.

All I know for certain is one day we will die.
This will be what's left of us.
Worn out words on paper that we sing to feel alive.
These words echo us.

Everything I say is everything I'm not.
But, I want nights and days, silence, a different state of mind.

I know it's so far from home, but it's exactly where I want to be.
I know we're all on our own, but I'm still looking for eternity.
