Flinders Street from heartstrings EP by elle
This ominous, eerie, foreboding opener carries in it anxiety and doubt about meeting someone new. I wanted to capture the dreadful feeling you have in the back of your mind when things seem to be going too well, all too quickly.
"When's the coin gonna drop? Did it already drop and I didn't hear it?" were the kind of thoughts I pulled from. The song takes its epicentre in the form of a railway station, Flinders Street Station. The name almost serves as a warning to myself not to fall too quickly again.
