The album with the song that started all of this. And what an album !

In 1988, after 3 years performing under the name Niohn 500, the band decided to change names for the third and last time of their career, going to HET. The name was funny for them, considering they chose it principally due to the fact it just means “No” as translated in Russian and written in Cyrillic. A new era also means a new lineup, and therefore Rahel left the band at that time on her own choice, since she was just there for background vocals sporadically.
For the first and last time of their career, HET will go recording at a professional studio, namely the Schweinesound Studio near Lucerne. It was a choice of Kornel, who thought they needed a professional sound, and this studio in particular was chosen because “it was the only ones that truly cared about music” for him.

It’s the shortest HET album due to costs, and yet it reunites 7 songs that are very well written if you want my opinion. It explores different interesting themes, such as the equality of class, depression, once again reflections about the human condition, fear of new technologies, danger of lies…and Chalti Gurke is there too.
3 songs are taken from previous albums, “Nur Lug Und Trug” (originally “Brecht Hat Recht” on “Der Sieg”), “This is not that life I need” and “Computer Bytes You!” (the latter originally “Savage Computers”, both on “Venedig”), but reworked, mostly with better music for the two latter, and entirely different music for the first.

And to a special album, special merch comes with it ! Indeed, with MiCa from Mikado Tapes, we did reproductions of this HET tape. We stayed faithful to the original but also added a little DIY touch, in a way that it would be something similar and yet different.
90% of the profits it generates will go to the charities previously mentioned ! The 10% remaining will help with the shipping of the tapes.
