Arise Therefore from Remains by Six Organs of Admittance

A few years ago Drag City put out a comp with Will Oldham and Bill Callahan covering songs in conjunction with other Drag City artists. I was chosen to cover the Will Oldham song Arise Therefore with Bill Callahan. The version we ended up doing was very much a different style from the original. The process for recording was that the collaborator woudl record the music and even do a little scratch vocals to show how they conceived of the song happening. This was my first attempt at covering the song and is very much more of a straight forward version. Bill and I decided it was maybe too straightforward for the comp so we did another style, but this was the original go at it.
