一日 by Henry Morse
一日 (Ichinichi) is a post-rock inspired album I created over the course of a few weeks during the summer. Since Project Sketch, I have been trying to come up with original guitar solo focused music, but I think I burnt myself out on that kind of thing for a while. I wanted to try something fresh, and that's how 一日 began!
It sounds quite different to my first few albums. I tried to make the production sound raw and gritty, like it was recorded in a rehearsal space or something.
I challenged myself by recording every guitar track in one take. This actually make the recording process easier as I would push myself to get it right the first time!
I was inspired by a few Japanese Post-Rock bands such as Umineco, Te, Mono, Nakanoise and A Picture of Her.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy it! I certainly had a lot of fun making it!
