Found a hole in the ground on the street
I said “hello, is anyone there?”
No echo nor is there sound
Curiosity’s got me
threw a stone down into that hole
there’s no echo returned
sounded like there ain’t no bottom

I started tossin’ my trash in that hole
bottomless garbage can
No echo , nor is there sound
there’s no turning back
I showed my friends to the garbage hole
they even threw away their cars
charged strangers money to dump in that hole

Then the army came out one day
to toss nuclear waste in that hole
still no echoes nor is there sound
there’s no turning back now
When I walk down another street
I heard my voice from the sky
then a stone hit my head
