Missing Class by Deer Meadow

“The title of the track is entirely literal - I have been taking a German language evening course for the past year or so but during the period the track was done, my mental health hadn’t been particularly great. I was feeling quite depressed one night the class was on and decided I couldn’t face going along. As with these things though, I was then wracked with guilt for not going. I decided to work on some music to take my mind off it and ‘Missing Class’ was the result of that. I felt a lot lighter when I finished the track. For me the track is about being kind to yourself when you aren’t feeling your best and the healing properties of creativity.” -DM
