Head On combine the dark-tinged and atmospherically sparse elements of post punk bands like Joy Division and Public Image Limited with a grunged out heaviness akin to Soundgarden or Sonic Youth to create a sound which is equal parts melancholic guitar dissonance, snarling vocals and all-out, fists-in-the-air driving rock. Their debut album ‘Ubik’ is out now.
