Out There by Chris Harris
A few years ago I wrote an album about Charles Hoy Fort, whose books about unexplained phemonena such as falls of fish (and frogs, and snakes, and lumps of charcoal), sea monsters, poltergeists, and sightings of mysterious lights in the sky—years before the flying saucer craze began—were so influential that such things are now described as Fortean. It's been a while since that album came out, so I decided it was time for a follow-up, and here it is.
This time around, you may detect a somewhat more sceptical attitude in the lyrics. You may even gain the impression that the writer is of the opinion that the majority of strange events receiving media attention these days are fabrications; events contrived by shysters trying to make a fast buck out of the credulous.
I couldn't possibly comment.
Meanwhile, fish continue to fall out of the sky...
