Hauntology from Pareidolia by Chris Harris
A word which I was surprised to discover was coined by the French philosopher Jacques Derrida in his 1993 essay Specters of Marx. Which, of course, I immediately set about reading. Dear me, it's heavy going. The fact that my copy was translated from the French in a very literal way doesn't help matters at all.

I'm still trying to get the music I record to sound like the version I can hear in my head. To do this I've ended up playing every instrument I can get my hands on. These days, I'm closer to "That Sound" than I used to be, but the journey continues.
