From liner notes of the original 2006 release;

"Rebuilding Paradise was an effort that consumed our lives for the better part of a year. The Guild has always been a band of circumstance and with each passing day brought a new dilemma, or a new stroke of genius. Mike vonMuchow spawned its genius by simply offering the opportunity. We are forever indebted to him for his guidance, patience and insight."

Even all these years later, this entry rings true. Hawthorn Guild has always found its greatest success by allowing the music we create to be an organic product, forged in the moments and circumstances in which we find ourselves at a particular place and time. These songs were a reflection of a group of young men who formed a kinship with their passion for rock and roll. We hope to share this kinship with you through these songs that mean so much to us.
