Haviah has been releasing music independently since '09. Mighty recently released 2019 Polaris Prize-winning album, 13th Floor, making history as the first hip hop artist and first Black woman to receive the award. Garnering praise from the likes of Pitchfork, Billboard, HotNewHipHop, Lyrical Lemonade, etc, Haviah continues to carve out spaces that defy gendered expectations for women in hip hop.
