Nurture by Hartmann ensemble

NURTURE has been registered strictly live between 8 and 9 October 2022 inside the Church of the Monumental Complex of
S. Sofia, in the heart of the historical center of Salerno, without any overdubs nor added artificial reverb. The grandeur of the spaces of the Church is a cornerstone of the sound of these recordings:
immersed in its silence, wrapped in density of its reverberations, the Hartmann performed the songs playing
with and in the space around, as the light changed from day to night, and then by new to the day, in the early hours of dawn, and gave a unique emotion to every moment.
Even the city, as a living sound entity, has entered the project, as in the opening piece, Nurture, in which the delicacy of the guitar dialogues in perfect balance and coherence with the noise of the cars, mopeds, children who inhabit the popular district of the historic centre. Two intense days of recordings, of music, but also of words, comparisons, laughter, emotions and real life that is found in every note, every breath and every silence of these songs.
