Quadraphase were a loose collection of musicians & sound experimentalists who formed to explore
random & improvisational composition techniques, including mail collaboration, live improvisation,
juxtapositional live/tape combinations etc. Disturbances is a "Randomized Mail Collaboration" all artists
involved recorded a 45 minute piece with no knowledge of the others material. The 4 tapes were sent to
one location to be mastered into a final version. No mixing was done to help maintain the random element.
