The Collatz conjecture is one of the most famous unsolved problems in mathematics. The conjecture asks whether repeating two simple arithmetic operations will eventually transform every positive integer into 1.
For even numbers, divide by 2;
For odd numbers, multiply by 3 and add 1
Starting with n = 12 and applying the function f, one gets the sequence 12, 6, 3, 10, 5, 16, 8, 4, 2, 1 .
HardWired first started getting into music sitting up late at night watching MTV's Party Zone way way past his young bedtime. In the small hours of the morning he was introduced to artists like Autechre, The Orb, Boards of Canada and Aphex Twin, and his love of IDM was born.
