"Since his earliest, noisier techno transmissions, he’s most notably contributed production to FKA Twigs’ In Time (off the M3LL155X EP) and this one finds him working with wild, non-linear rhythm structures and a broader set of reference points cocking a skewed view of the scene around him.

Blackberreh comes with a playfully sour, colourfully idiosyncratic twist on noise techno metrics with a wicked, raving breakdown and guttural subs set to f**k with the ‘floor, whereas Catch-22 refracts grime MC, Trim, in a ruffer, snagging take on those James Blake Harmonimix versions, and with far less polite, more messed-up results.

Once it’s settled into its slow, knobbly, new beta acid groove from a discordant and unsteady intro, Drag is the EP’s straightest dance track, but even still, it finds him wringing the template to sound closer to the Diagonal lot or some L.I.E.S. freak job.
