On a humid morning
As it happened
This very plight
A hurdled nodus
Drubbed by the sun
Spurn in decline
Unarmed with scorn
Pyrexia confirmed
Haled down firm
By dauntless heat
Disregarding skies
Poison elan
A confident stride
Carve an orifice
Slither within
Creating a dray
As I rest my eyes
Even though prior I woke
Deeply I slept
A dream of nothing
Only blackness
Center of hallow
I stand a shadow
Dark against the void
I feel a breath
A weak wind on my neck
As I turn to see
A hand grabs a hold of me
I wake to the sound of laughing
Taunting, screaming and stabbing
Is this the haunting dream I was having?
Proven to be real
I attempt to grip at roots
Quickly heaved through soil
I trail behind a forming tunnel
A path is sculpted
A fate I was destined to find
My feet dangle, tangled in time
Woven in scratches
I fall...
Plummet forever
Descend endlessly
As I prepare to land
Fires gnashing their flames
I dissolve into ashes
And sprinkle upon my corpse
In fragments of the moment's past
