Co-written by Chicago bandleader "Doc" Cook and banjoist Johnny St. Cyr, this hot jazz classic was recorded by "Cookie's Gingersnaps" in 1926 with the one and only Freddie Keppard on cornet. Many years later, Keppard disciple Papa Ray Ronnei played the song with the South Frisco Jazz Band n Southern California.
