I cannot stand to hear the jeers of the mirror anymore.

In anger, I swing a fist at its surface, puncturing the obelisk, its surface shattering and dispelling my malignant reflection.

A burning pain shoots up from my arm and hastily I pull my arm out from the mirror and see lateral lacerations left across my arm's length.

Blood wells up from the wounds - crimson and angry.

Before I can even process the pain a deep "CRACK" sounds out from the obelisk

Its surface has continued to fracture, cascading out from the point of impact.

Dark liquid seeps out from the lacerations on the mirror as if it too was bleeding.

There's a deep groaning, and I can see its exterior bowing outwards.

I take a tentative step away from it, unsure what to do.

Then, the surface erupts.

A tidal wave of black water rushes out of the obelisk, hitting me with the force of a runaway train.

Within seconds, I, along with the field, have been swallowed up - consumed.

It tries to drag me downward, deeper into its depths.

And I pump my arms as hard as I can, trying to swim against it.
