Starbase: Eternity by Griffin Sound Design

Soundtrack to the imaginary 1950s science fiction movie "Starbase: Eternity."

"After detecting mysterious signals emanating from a distant planet, a group of scientists discover ancient technologies that may reveal long-lost secrets about the origins of life on Earth...and clues to humanity's eventual destruction."

Some of the music for this album was originally composed for Lifeline Theatre's world-premiere adaption of H.G. Wells' "War of the Worlds" in Chicago in 2025.

These compositions are heavily inspired by the work of Louis and Bebe Barron on "Forbidden Planet" (1956). As the Barrons created their "electronic tonalities" using oscillators, reverb, and tortured circuits, I too used oscillators, reverbs, the sounds of malfunctioning circuits and hard drives, and image files manipulated into audio.
