G.O.D. lives for real hip hop. As a member of Pitch Black with D.G., Fast, Devious and Zakee he released a slew of underground projects before the long-awaited release of their 2004 debut album, Pitch Black Law. The album included diverse production from the likes of Teddy Riley and DJ Premier.
For the past few months, G.O.D. has been at Green Studio NYC working diligently on his new mixtape 'Game Overdose'. This is not your average mixtape, this is a straight up lyrical romp through the streets of NYC. G.O.D holds no bars and brings that gritty hip hop back to the forefront. Tracks like 'Cut A Check' and 'Cross The Line' will have you pumped up rhyming along to the chorus while tracks like When You're Tryna displays G.O.D.'s versatility with singing as well as rhyming.
The beat selection on this mixtape is refreshingly diverse. G.O.D. rips classic hip hop beats like 'It Aint Hard To Tell' and 'Knick Knack Patty Wack' then takes less known beats from sleeper tracks and makes his own classic.
