February by Great Elk
During the winter of 2010-11 Great Elk recorded four songs on their own in Brooklyn, NY. They tracked drums and bass at a makeshift studio space and did the rest wherever they could. Some things were recorded at the studio of friend Len Monachello, some in Paul's basement apartment (much to the chagrin of Paul's neighbors) and some other little bits in a couple of other places. The tracks were released in February as a series of limited edition CD singles which were distributed each week that month at a series of shows at Rockwood Music Hall. Now they've bundled them together as an online only EP available to everyone.
