“+ 51.21107° + 04.42503°” is the third JK's KAMER release.

JK's KAMER is a series of captured solo performances, presenting each time the sound of a specific instrument and player. The series explores the possibilities in music performance and improvisation while focusing on sound as repertoire.

All music improvised by NIELS VAN HEERTUM on euphonium, tuba, trumpet on February 3th 2014 at the Thienpontmolen.

The recorded pieces create a place without haste. Pure intervals are superposed and moved in order to avoid tension and agitation.

We spent a nice day creating this album with Niels, in the well-known warmth of his living room: a windmill in the East of Flanders. The amplified horns circled around the rounded windmill room, forming a dense woven web of sound.
