I can feel it brewing and breathing,
something palpable in the ether,
as it draws nearer and nearer–
what’s nebulous soon becomes clearer.
Exorcising the beasts inside of me—
tame them and frame them
to save them from the abyss
that they came from.

Digging through the depths of the archives—
searching for some old ghosts to revive.
Quantifying and eulogizing
everything you once would’ve died for.
Apathy creeps in and consumes me–
I’m paralyzed by my desire
to frack and mine my mind.
