Lyrics

Am I all that I ought to be?
Oh apathy, no empathy in my blood
Do I deserve all this suffering
Am I a broken thing
To discard when it’s sharp to touch

I’ve been thinking it over for sometime now
It rolls over, I’m older and still somehow
These questions get stuck in the gaps of my teeth
But I have no introspect, I might as well just grieve

All these ways that you hold me to
Do you speak the truth
Or is there a bad taste in your mouth.
When we speak about honesty
Is there one belief
or is meaning a faith somehow?

Oh I’ve been thinking it over for sometime now
It rolls over, I’m older and still somehow
These questions get stuck in the gaps of my teeth
But I have no retrospect, I’ve never learnt belief
I’ve never known, no never known relief

Why do we desire to rely in a
Deity of love
who decides what we do and say?
All I’ve learnt from philosophy
is that that’s the key
to suspend in the everyday.

Oh I’ve been thinking it over for sometime now
It rolls over, I’m older and still somehow
These questions get stuck in the gaps of my teeth
But I’m in no higher sect, I might as well just grieve
all my possibilities of peace.
