HUN TUN by Gosheven

The first film score album of Gosheven 'HUN TUN' is released. It features the music written for the film HUN TUN directed by Magdalena Hejzlarová.

The sounds are special because they incorporate a unique septimal just intonation tuning that was designed by Gosheven. Thanks to this, unusual micromodulations and very close musical intervals sounded paralelly create weird interferences in the listener's brainwaves, while they also serve as sound metaphors for the widespread disease of our culture – insomnia.

The material is mostly chamber music that embodies folk inspirations, remotely referring to the string music of the Carpathian Basin. Other times it uses the simplest musical tones, sine waves, that make these sounds physical thanks to the immediate bodily sensations of sound interferences and beatings they produce.

Synopsis of the film:
A young woman measures her strength against the king of chaos himself. The more she wants to win, the less she succeeds. Through a mythological story, the author looks back to the time when she discovered that there are things in life she will never control.
