Astral Shrine by Gorgons Alter
Set centuries after the death of the Immortal at the hands of Yoth, this album follows a hermit named Deison as he spends his entire life building and perfecting his paragon: the first portal transit system.
Able to tap into and safely navigate the echo corridor, this device works on a very baseline level; instead of transporting an individual to an entirely different universe, it just moves them from one location ( the parent module ) to the sister module. This has drastically changed the evolution of the people's of the Realm.
However. Like all good things, there are always some who seek to exploit such power.
A group of Paladins steal a Paragon gateway and through stolen black magic they open a wound in reality that puts them at the shrine of something ....ancient. Something.
Primordial.
To call it a he was an insult to all the men who loved, who built and who laid their lives down for the greater good. No, it was a construct made flesh. An idea, an... Abstract thought anthropomorphized. Entropy. Decay. Materialized as a giant being with hollow sunken eyes, skin so pale it appeared like chalk marble against the backdrop of an indifferent universe. Its mouth a perpetual grin, as it should be. Once existing in the same plane as the Deities and parents of the Immortal, it was a Primordial yen to their yang. Malice, simply because that was it's nature.
It rode an exo planet perpetually ablaze, with gigantic chains bolted into the surface so it could ride it like a burning steed across the cosmos. Everything in its vicinity succumbed to forced rapid aging. Entire Sol systems including their stars all drain and shrivel and wither as quickly as you blinked while reading this.
It is the Light-Eater. It is, Entropy.
And it has eluded the Gods, Atua and Nūl for too long. Thus, this album kick starts the showdown between titans of the cosmos.
