"songs", Lenker's most recent solo effort, rocked my world. I've worn that record out and I'm coming back for more; it's playing as I write this blurb. I am transitioning to a different style in my music, and her stuff is a beacon of light to this soft boi. "zombie girl" is a highlight on the record and I connect to it in that special way that gives me the chills. The repeating motif - "what's on your mind?" gets me drippin' out my eye sockets. I have thought a lot while listening to "songs" and it's therapeutic at this point.

What I'm trying to get at in that ^ long-winded babble is that music is like, really powerful bro and like, gets you through some really tough fuckin times. It's gonna get better, it always do, and I reckon it's important to write/create/talk about those rare, ponderous, and sometimes malicious feelings than to engage in self-harm in any way, shape, or form.
