Adrenaline Junkie by Whiplash
The second release of 2021 from Goma Rec. presents "Adrenaline Junkie", debut EP by the duo Whiplash, composed by Baitz and João Boaventura. With an acid narrative, the EP stimulates the release of energy; a mix between the fiction of a revolution of sidereal machines, with the adrenaline of rad sports and the routine of the city. The elements and timbres of Korg Electribe ESX are explored in the duo's creations, with fast and well-marked percussion, which links to genres such as Breakbeat, Electro, Jungle, Juke and Super-House. In addition to 5 tracks by the duo, the EP features a Remix of the track Adrenaline Junkie made by Goma Crew, BRF, posada and marcelulose, which also mastered the EP. With futuristic, apocalyptic and urban characteristics, the cover art is a collab result between BRF and Gabriel Scorza, visual artist of Coletivo Plano.
Whiplash is formed by the duo of DJs and producers, Baitz and João Boaventura, co-founders of the collective NINHO from São Paulo. They started venturing into productions and mixes in 2014 and are currently exploring different aspects of the breakbeat style, from euphoric melodies to accelerated grooves.
